ODM - ORIGINAL DESIGN MANUFACTURES
These are the companies which design and manufacturers a product according to the need of the customer , that is later rebranded with the customer's product. These ODM's allow the firm that owns or licenses the brand to produce products without engaging in the production or running a factory .
OEM - ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS
These are the companies which produce parts and equipments which can be used by the another manufacturer . Example : Foxconn , a taiwanese based company which produces parts for Apple , Dell, Google ets and another company Flex is a company which also does the same job.
